If running is in the midst of its strongest hypebeast moment yet, then consider trail running the skateboarding of the culture; the place where it all started. Sure, super-stacked soles are standard everywhere you look, now, but it was the slightly smaller trail running silhouettes that first brought speed and comfort to modern sneaker hype, thanks in no small part to HOKA.
The HOKA Speedgoat 2 has a reputation for performance strength more than its collab-heavy gorpcore cousin, the Mafate, but that hasn’t stopped it from infiltrating the lifestyle side of the market. For its latest Speedgoat 2 colorway, HOKA is trying its best to turn heads, bringing back the OG Speedgoat logo and adding a bright citrus mix of yellowish green Neon Yuzu across the busy upper paneling.

Featuring a dark Bay Leaf green on the toe bumper, suede toebox, and tongue stabilizer, sockliner, and panel accents, the real pop comes from the Neon Yuzu. Falling across the upper like a bucket of Nickelodeon slime, the neon mesh jumps off the shoe and continues towards the heel as it intermingles with the Bay Leaf shade. The stacked midsole and grippy outsole are both black for a bit of contrast.
The HOKA Speedgoat 2 Neon Yuzu will be released July 10, 2026 through HOKA and select retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $160. For all the latest HOKA news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
