The mesh runner trend seems to be unstoppable. One brand that has masterfully tapped into this niche is Asics, producing various performance runners that fit the bill for decades. For the new year, the Japanese footwear brand plans to bring the Gel-Kayano 20 back to the mainstream with an array of GR releases, including an upcoming Black Pure Silver color scheme.
Launching alongside the Blue Neptune colorway, the pair takes on a black mesh base with metallic silver contrasting across the midfoot overlays. This design includes the Asics tiger stripes, lined with black and blue accents, and the reinforcements below this. Along the toecap and eyelets, we see black leather, the former of the two playing host to Gel-Kayano 20 branding details.
