Kyrie Irving may be on to his second signature sneaker with ANTA, the ANTA Kai 2, but we’re still getting new colorways of his OG model in 2025. The duo has decided to revisit the Kai 1 Chief Hélà model with a new Crown Jewel colorway.
Debuted by WNBA All-Star Brittney Sykes during the All-Star Game, the pair retains the Native American-inspired design motifs found on the original. This includes the tassel detailing added to the collar, directly referencing traditional moccasin footwear. While the last colorway was done in a natural tan hue, this pair is primarily coated in midnight purple, drawing inspiration from ceremonial amethyst beads worn by tribal chiefs.

Accenting the purple engineered mesh and fused overlays are hits of light gold, found on the symbols peeking through the midfoot, the custom Kyrie Irving text on the lockdown strap, and the Kyrie logo on the tongue. Inside sits a full-length Nitro Edge foam, embedded within the purple rubber and foam midsole. Finishing the design is the semi-translucent gum rubber outsole.
The ANTA Kai 1 Chief Hélà Crown Jewel will release August 2, 2025, through ANTA, Foot Locker, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels, Hibbett, Shoe Palace, Sneaker Politics, Extra Butter, Nice Kicks, Social Status, Feature, and Lapstone & Hammer.
