The streetwear hits keep coming from adidas. After starting a new path to cultural relevance in 2025 for the classic Superstar with fashion industry collabs from popular young brands like Dios, Hellstar, and Young Thug’s Sp5der, The Three Stripes is keeping the theme rolling in the new year, linking back up with Hellstar and Sp5der on even more shell toes. The latest streetwear Superstar adds more patent leather to the Sp5der collab, this time in triple black.
The Sp5der x adidas Superstar Black takes the same design approach as the brand’s red patent pair, covering the entire upper in a shiny black patent leather with spider web graphics etched into the side panels like they’ve been sitting in the closet since Run DMC was stomping onto the Billboard charts. The Three Stripe branding is moved forward on the silhouette just like the Super Modified.
In addition to the black upper, metallic silver is added to the heel tab and the Sp5der tongue label, with more Sp5der branding added to the bottoms of the icy blue outsoles. Sp5der logos are added on the back of the midsole and again on the underside of the tongue with a 555-555 logo.
The Sp5der x adidas Superstar Black will be released February 27, 2026 through Sp5der's website. A global launch via adidas and select retailers in-store and online will take place on March 3, 2026.
