Mewtwo Shoe Two: adidas Taps the 150th Pokémon for ZX8000 Collab

Mewtwo is taking full advantage of the retro fashion cycle. The powerful 150th Pokémon that made its debut in the OG Pokemon movie has been having a renaissance of sorts in the sneaker world lately. After a beautifully packaged pair of Pokémon x Puma Mewtwo Suedes hit shelves in limited numbers this past fall, and early word of a Mewtwo Samba coming in late 2026, adidas is taking another turn giving props to the same Pokémon with a Mewtwo-themed ZX8000.

The Pokémon x adidas ZX8000 Mewtwo is the latest leak from the upcoming adidas x Pokémon collection, covering the retro running shoe in a tri-color mix of purples representing the mind-reading Pokémon. Beyond the purple upper, the shoe features staring eyes hanging over the top of the lateral side panels, turning the shoes into a Pokémon. Mewtwo’s name is added above the Three Stripes panels, and a picture of his face is added on the tongue label, with a Pokéball lace dubrae on the bottom lace.

In addition to the new pictures of the upcoming Mewtwo ZX8000 and the Mewtwo Samba, the Pokémon x adidas collection will also feature two pairs of Superstars for Pikachu and Charmander, and two more for their evolutions, Raichu and Charmeleon.
