The adidas Consortium project is all about recognizing independent boutiques for their work keeping the sneaker community moving forward. To add a little friendly competition to the program, adidas started the Consortium Cup, pitting sneaker stores against each other to design their best collab, with fan votes deciding the winner. In addition to new notoriety and support for the participating stores, the Cup has served to foster a new community amongst high-minded footwear retailers. Continuing a friendship that started at the Constortium Cup, a new three-way collab between London retailer Offspring, Japanese retailer mita, and adidas trades competition for handshakes.
The mita sneakers x Offspring x adidas ZX8000 is a subtle blend of grey suede, grey mesh, and silver accents made to represent the foggy skies of London and the grey cement of Tokyo’s streets. Starting with grey hairy suede on the toe, lace, heel, and lower side panels, the grey mesh fills in the rest of the upper, with hard metallic silver accents on the middle lace eyelets and heel cage. The adidas Consortium handshake logo is embroidered on the heel in a red and blue outline. The Consortium handshake logo has always been a representation of the partnership between brand and stores, but with Offspring and mita sneakers coming together on this pair, the handshake means even more.
Starting with a simple base colorway, the shoe adds hits of color through interchangeable laces and dubraes, with yellow, white, and blue strings offering a small dose of personalization on every pair. Branding on the pair is minimal, but Offspring logos can be found on the lace dubraes and outsole. “Friendly competition sparked it, mutual respect built from it and now a connection that runs from Tokyo to London forever,” mita sneakers wrote about the three-way collab.
The mita sneakers x Offspring x adidas ZX8000 will be released via a raffle that begins today through mita sneakers and Offspring, with a limited release on October 25, 2025 and a wide release online if there are any pairs left planned for October 27, 2025. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150. For all the latest sneaker collab news and drop info, download the .
