Two weeks back, adidas brought an archive of prototypes, samples, and upcoming releases from Bad Bunny’s partnership with the brand to the island of Puerto Rico. Within The Archive: Puerto Rico Para El Mundo. La Historia de Una Collab exhibit, which featured over 150 items from the Bad Bunny archives, a frosted glass display obscured the view of Bad Bunny’s first signature sneaker with adidas, the BadBo 1.0. While adidas has yet to officially debut the model, Sole Retriever can provide an exclusive look at the third colorway, Rise.
Following up on the Resilience colorway, which took inspiration from the strength of Puerto Rico after hardships like Hurricane Maria, Rise draws influence from Benito continuing to champion the island. If you peeped the music video for “BOKeTE,” you’ll have spotted this exact colorway on the feet of Bad Bunny.
The sneaker features a mid-cut design with multi-layered leather panels atop a mesh base. Here, the leather overlays are coated in off white, while the base, tongue, collar, and sockliner are rendered in a sleek black finish. Tonal off white laces match the overlays, while the Trefoil logo and TPU eyelet come in adidas’ traditional bluebird hue. Finishing the design is the off white midsole and gum rubber outsole, the latter being a nod to the Puerto Rican soil he never left behind.
The Bad Bunny x adidas BadBo 1.0 Rise will release Spring 2026 through adidas, Bad Bunny’s website, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
