Football is Freedom: adidas Taps Bob Marley’s Love for Soccer on Gazelle Indoor Collab

There are a few legendary celebrities who live in pop culture history through iconic photographs, paintings, or movie stills, and at the top of the list is global reggae superstar Bob Marley. From posters of Bob smoking herb to throwing his head back laughing or with his hand on his chin in contemplative thought, some of our favorite images of Bob feature a crisp adidas track suit, a staple for the known soccer obsessive.

The Bob Marley x adidas Gazelle Indoor is the latest collab between Marley’s estate and adidas, adding an upper full of soft yellow suede alongside two-tone Three Stripes branding in green and red, combining the colors of the Rastafarian flag just like most of Bob’s merch. A white midsole and white laces round out the colorway.

Bob Marley’s estate has collaborated with adidas in the past, showing reverence for the brand that Marley wore frequently, and the latest partnership brings together Bob’s image, the colors of the Rastafarian flag, and a focus on soccer. After getting the latest collection started with a well-received pair of the EVO SL running shoe, Marley returns to the pitch with the Gazelle Indoor.
