Montreal-based skate shop Dime has worked across footwear over the last few years. Not only have we seen them delve into non-skate sneakers, as seen most recently with the label’s partnership with Asics on the Gel-Quantum 360 VIII, but they’ve worked with adidas on a handful of occasions to bring us skate-ready footwear like the Superstar ADV, Busenitz Vulc, and the ADI2000. They’re returning to the German sportswear giant to work on two new colorways of the adidas Gazelle ADV, one in Black and the other in Maroon.
With the ADV name attached to this Gazelle, we know it has been retooled to better fit skateboarding needs, specifically with the double-layered toecap for extra durability, a higher foxing tape, and a grippier outsole. As for this collaborative colorway with Dime, the label coats most of the upper in smooth leather sans the heel tab, which takes on a patent leather finish. The Three Stripes logo on the midfoot undergoes a makeover with square studs embedded into the leather.
