Skateboarding may not be the first thing you think of when you hear adidas, but the brand has partnered with some pivotal skate scene members for years. One of these is with Montreal-based skate label Dime, who previously worked with The Three Stripes on the ADI2000, Busenitz Vulc 2.0, and the Superstar ADV. After looking at the black-based Gazelle ADV, a Maroon colorway of the Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV has emerged online.
Like its Black counterpart, this Maroon color has a smooth leather finish that features a glazed leather in the titular hue across the T-toe overlay, midfoot panel, and tongue. The eyelets continue this material and color combo, while the lace set and leather sockliner also take on a maroon look. Contrasting this look is a black patent leather panel on the heel featuring metallic silver Dime branding, the studded Three Stripes made of metallic silver buttons, and the Dime logo on the midfoot, again in a metallic silver finish.

The updated tooling and construction differentiate the Gazelle ADV from the standard Gazelle. The toecap has a double layer for added durability, while the sole unit features added foxing tape that reinforces the sole and upper. Finally, the outsole below has updated traction for better board grip. Finishing the sneaker is the black midsole.
The Dime x adidas Gazelle ADV Maroon will release on January 25, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $110.
