adidas is set to drop a themed edition of Damian Lillard's latest signature silhouette, the Dame 9, to celebrate the festive holidays. Arriving just in time for Santa, this pair ties back to the seasonal beverage, Egg Nog.
The adidas Dame 9 is fast becoming one of the standouts in the Dame line-up since launching with a collab that saw Japanese streetwear giant A Bathing Ape present two iterations. Since then, inline colorways of Solar Red and Purple Blast have been joined by themed pairs such as Halloween, Oak Tree, and Bucks. Immediately upon arrival in Wisconsin, Lillard immersed himself in the local culture and connected with the fanbase as only he could.
With the legendary Dame Time, a cliche for a reason, Lillard has continued to showcase his immense athletic ability and clutch performance. With the Bucks unfortunately losing in the playoffs, his first season with the team didn't end as Lillard would have liked. However, he's already started his second season strong while wearing the Dame 9.
Arriving with a seasonal and pleasant aesthetic, the adidas Dame 9 Egg Nog features a breathable inner Lycra neoprene bootie adorned in green, with an overlay of lucid red around the top of the upper. The lower section of the upper is enveloped in warm vanilla synthetic leather around the heel, medial, and toe area.
The distinctive Three Stripes branding is finished in lucid red and warm sandstone at the midfoot. A mini-EQT logo is embroidered near the toe area; the green against the vanilla gives maximum visibility to the branding. The signature D motif is seen in lucid red against the green backdrop, contrasting the branding and time of year. Lightstrike technology is encased in the midsole, with a rubber outsole underfoot for increased traction and grip.
The adidas Dame 9 Egg Nog is set to release on December 15, 2024, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. In men's sizing, retail is set at $120. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
