Pigs to Pups: Unheardof’s Latest adidas Adistar Control 5 Ditches Swine for a Doggy Runner

Unheardof and adidas have been on a tear for the past couple of years, collaborating on a beloved collection of pig-themed colorways. In 2025, the Cincinnati skate shop started with a stand-alone Pork Chop pair of the Adistar Cushion 3, then added two more colorways of the same silhouette. This year, they reunited in the spring for another pack of pigs on the Adistar Control 5, bringing out a three-pack of jelly bean-colored runners for Easter, with an extra F&F pair for good measure.

Going to the Dogs

Now, the two brands are back with another pair of the Adistar Control 5, but instead of more pigs in the pack, the skate boutique is going to the dogs. Skipping the bright colors for a black lab blend, the colorway adds faux dog fur with pink, grey, and neon green accents with a cartoon dog graphic on the tongue.

Starting with a grey toe to match the midsole and heel support, the toebox and side panels switch to soft black faux dog fur that transitions to cream fur on the Three Stripes. The tongue and lace tips switch to pink for a dog tongue vibe, with green accents on the eyelets like green eyes. Doggy is written on the back in green, with “O.K. Sit” on the back of the tongue for more pooch vibes.
