Philip Lipschutz has built an amazing sneaker community in Cincinnati, Ohio, through his retail store Unheardof. The storefront has achieved local fame through its local initiatives, fair release methods, and excellent storytelling in collaborations. While having worked with multiple brands over the years, adidas has become a pivotal partner in the last two years, helping Philip tell the story of his late sister Erika, honoring his grandma on the Grandma’s Couch pack, and the city of Cincinnati with the Building Bridges Rivalry Low. Now, moving away from the low-top ‘80s basketball silos from the previous projects, Unheardof will be working on a mesh runner in the early parts of 2025.
Previewed on The Sneaky Leak Podcast, Philip gives us an on-foot look at the Unheardof x adidas Adistar Cushion 3, one of The Three Stripes’ entries in the techy mesh runner trend that has dominated sneaker and fashion circles in the last year. Continuing with the pig theme found on the Building Bridges release, this new pair translates the pink skin of a pig onto the mesh, suede, and leather upper. Various shades of the color are applied to the upper, a light pink on the mesh base, more pig pink shades hit the suede overlays and Three Stripes, and finally, a deep pink, almost red, applied to the Trefoil on the left heel and small panels across the upper.
