Unheardof’s latest adidas Adistar Control 5 colorway is all bark, no bite. After setting Cincinnati on fire with its Piggy Runner collection and Easter Bunny Piggy remixes, the Ohio skate shop’s latest take on the Adistar Control 5 takes after the unofficial Unheardof mascot, Otto the dog.
Otto Control
The Unheardof x adidas Adistar Control 5 Doggy Runner Otto has been on our radar for months now, but this week, we got a closer look at the colorway and a release date warning, with one month until the pair finally hits Unheardof’s shoe wall. In the Instagram post revealing the Otto release date, Unheardof owner Phil Lipschitz said that the black colorway would be the last of the shop’s Adistar Control 5 collabs.
Starting with a full coat of black dog fur across the upper, the colorway adds black suede details on the toecap and synthetic black and grey supports. The Three Stripes add white dog fur, and the tongue switches to pink, like, well, a tongue. Paw prints are added to the front of the toe for even more puppy love, with a cartoon Otto graphic on the tongue.
