Art Basel weekend turned Miami into the place to be over the weekend, and after making waves under the global spotlight at F1 Las Vegas last month with an interesting jacket choice, Travis Scott popped back out to draw the fashion world’s attention to his feet, this time in a pair of never-before-seen Nike Phantom 6 soccer shoes with a Cactus Jack backwards Swoosh.
Travis debuted the shoe at the Nike Toma finals, a streetball soccer event that’s travelled the globe to find the world’s best underground footballers. Scott hosted the Art Basel soccer event, climbing the fence into the soccer game in the pair of green and yellow gradient Phantoms with yellow laces, a small lateral Swoosh and a large backwards Swoosh on the heel. The shoe features a gum sole on the front and a white midsole on the back half.
Of course, the backwards Swoosh is often associated with the Travis Jordan 1 and the rest of the Cactus Jack Nike line, but it is also a feature of all of the Nike Phantom 6 soccer shoes. Whether this is a collab colorway is yet to be seen, but when Travis pulls up in something new, our assumptions immediately go towards a partnership.
Despite the jump scare of Travis showing up at the Miami F1 event in an adidas Y-3 jacket, he was quick to reaffirm his place at Nike, and the latest showing in Miami is just a reminder that Travis breaks necks no matter where he goes.
