Curry Watch is in full effect. Now that Steph Curry is a sneaker free agent after splitting his Curry Brand label from Under Armour, the Warriors superstar can rock any sneaker brand he wants, and he’s made full use of this freedom. Every game he’s been hopping between brands, even in between his tunnel walk, warm-ups, and tip-off. For Steph and Golden State’s latest match-up against the Houston Rockets, Curry paid tribute to an H-Town legend by lacing up Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG in the Mocha colorway.
Originally released in 2019, the first Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low was actually not something La Flame was excited for. Reggie Saunders, VP of Entertainment Marketing at Jordan Brand, told GQ that Scott was not a fan of low-top AJ 1s and that he and designer Paul Savovici crafted the pair as a surprise for Trav. After seeing them on a trip to Nike’s HQ, he fell in love, and now we’ve been inundated with new colorways of the collaboration on a yearly basis. Since the first pair, we’ve had six OG 1 Lows and one Jordan 1 Low Golf, and there are potentially more coming in 2026.
We’ll be keeping our eyes out for what Steph laces up for warm-ups and for game-time against the Rockets, so check out our socials on Instagram or X for some real-time alerts on Curry Watch.
