At one point, Travis Scott was on top of the world. From album sales and sold-out Astroworld festivals to endless brand deals and countless Nike and Jordan collabs, Travis couldn’t miss. These days, Cactus Jack isn’t drawing the same astronomical hype but that doesn’t mean he’s fallen off. There’s a Fragment x Travis Jordan 1 collab coming this month, a Celtics-colored Jumpman Jack dropping next Spring, and now, a first look at a Jumpman Jack sample pair from last Winter that never saw the light of day.

First posted on Instagram by @collectors_closet, this is a never-before-seen Jumpman Jack sample in a black and cream colorway. The upper is a mix of light tan suede and black mesh with a cave brown suede accent on the heel. The midsole and reverse Swoosh are white, the “TS” signature is black on the cream forefoot strap, and the Jumpman Jack logo on the tongue is pink.

The sample pair was slated for Holiday 2024 but never released, and considering the similarities in colorway and timeline, it’s possible the pair was an early sample inspiration for the Chase B Jumpman Jack set to release at the end of the year. The sample pair has the same base colors on the suede and mesh upper, but is missing the black ostrich skin accents on the forefoot and strap, and the neon green outsole.

Unless you’ve got plugs in Astroworld or Oregon, this one will probably never touch your collection, but there are still Travis shoes on the way that you can purchase, so download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
