Your familiarity with superstar drummer Travis Barker likely depends on your age. If you’re in your 30s or 40s, you probably know about Barker from his work with the legendary pop-punk trio Blink-182. If you’re in your 20s or teens, you probably know about Barker for his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian or his daughter Alabama’s rap beef. However you know him, Barker is the most famous drummer of the 21st century, and he’s definitely paid his dues.
In a new partnership with Vans, Barker brings his classic punk rock style to a pair of Old Skools, adding a declaration about his credentials to the toeboxes. The Travis Barker x Vans Old Skool is the first partnership between the drummer and the skate shoe institution, but if you know anything about Barker, you know the collab is a match made in Southern California heaven. Starting with classic black upper with a white Vans stripe across the side panel, the shoe adds barbed wire graphics across the midsole and Barker’s mantra “Dues Paid” in Old English font split across the toeboxes like knuckle tattoos for your toes.
For the release of the shoe, Vans tapped Brand Curator Atiba Jefferson to photograph the campaign, which stars Vans, Hockey, and Supreme-sponsored skater Ben Kadow. Keeping with Barker’s professional dedication, he is releasing a song called “Dues Paid” as a direct callout to the new sneaker collab. In addition to the Dues Paid Old Skool, Barker will continue to design new Vans colorways, with another drop already scheduled for 2026.
The Travis Barker x Vans Old Skool will be released October 23, 2025 through Vans and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is still TBD. For all the latest collab sneaker news and release info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
