Atiba Jefferson is a glue guy. Basketball teams, friend groups, and brands need them all the same. He’s the guy who’s down for whatever, ready to keep the stoke rolling, and always has another homie on the way to join the fun. It’s the good vibes that brought Jefferson to Vans as a Brand Curator, and for the launch of his first collection, the professional photographer brought out a heavyweight squad of comedians, athletes, and skaters for a schoolyard session.

Jefferson is dropping a six-colorway Vans pack called United Through Skateboarding, featuring a Wayvee 2, Curren Caples Pro, Half Cab Wafflecup, two pairs of Old Skool 36+, and a Safe Low, and to celebrate the occasion, he called up his friends for a skate sesh. As the crew amasses at a SoCal blacktop, Workaholics Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, and Anders Holm, comedians Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, Turnstile bassist Franz Lyons, NBA legend Baron Davis, and more cross-cultural celebs note how they were all brought together by one unstoppable force: Atiba.

As far as the shoes go, the Wayvee 2 is a stone-cold monochrome grey, the Curren shoe is coated in forest green suede, the Waffle Cab (an atrocious alteration of a classic, if you ask us) is entirely earth tone tan, and the Safe Low is a classy blend of black and white. We already saw both of the Old Skool 36+ colorways earlier this month in bright monochrome orange and a mix of black and olive green. Adding even more celeb connection to the pairs, Jefferson teamed up with legendary graffiti artist Eric Haze for a custom logo on every shoe in the collection.
