Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Debuts a Pink Converse Shai 001

Reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is fresh off the retail debut of his first signature sneaker with Converse, the Converse Shai 001, and it was a resounding success. The Butter colorway sold out in under 10 minutes online and the in-store release at Kith Toronto had lines down the block. While there are more color schemes on the way very soon, SGA just took to Instagram to tease another rendition of the Shai 001, this time in pink.
Channeling his inner Killa Cam (who inspires an upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low), Shai is pictured in an all-pink outfit with a matching pair of Shai 001s on foot. Of course, even his watch matches the fit, as showcased in an up-close photo of the all-pink Shai 001. Like other colorways of his signature sneaker, this pair opts for a monochromatic finish across the no-sew neoprene and TPU upper. The tonal pink finish extends onto the tongue, which is concealed by a metallic silver zipper, and onto the sole unit, which features Zoom Air cushioning for a plush experience on or off the court.
Last night, the OKC superstar appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show and previewed three upcoming colorways of the sneaker while gifting Jimmy his own pair of the Shai 001 Butter. Luckily, the three pairs he brought to the show (Masi Blue, Hail Clay, and Charm Black) are all releasing early next month. His Instagram post today also teased an upcoming interview with music journalist and upcoming Nike SB collaborator Nardwuar.
As of this writing, there is no confirmed release information for the Converse Shai 001 Pink. However, we do know that October 2, 2025 will see three Shai 001s hit shelves as part of the Family Pack.
