More Mules: Saucony Slides into Slip-On Trend with ProGrid V2 Mule

If you thought the loafer-sneaker was a heavy trend last year, the sneaker-mule hybrid might be even more prevalent. After getting open-back sneakers with athletic soles from nearly every shoe brand under the sun, Saucony is joining the fold with its own slip-on sneaker silhouette, the ProGrid V2 Mule.

Saucony Joins the Mule Mix

Arriving in a debut Trek Brown and Black colorways, the V2 Mule keeps Saucony’s retro runner ProGrid bones with a granola-friendly walking shoe energy. Despite its open heel, the shoe is ready to run on a black athletic sole, with soft suede and breathable mesh on the upper, and a Saucony “S” logo swooping across the lateral toe.

"The ProGrid V2 Mule is an exploration of how iconic running silhouettes can evolve for today's lifestyle consumer,” said Brian Moore, chief product officer at Saucony. “By combining premium suede and soft neoprene with the distinctive design language of the ProGrid V2, we've created a silhouette that feels both familiar and new. The backless construction brings a fresh perspective to the original design while preserving the visual identity and performance heritage that define the franchise."

Saucony ProGrid V2 Mule Release Details
