If you’ve been paying attention to the fashion scene in the 2020s, you’ve surely heard of Mowalola Ogunlesi and her eponymous label. Many first heard of the Nigerian-born designer thanks to her appointment as the creative director of Ye’s short-lived Yeezy Gap venture, though she left the label before it even officially launched its first product.
After that, she drew more mainstream attention, especially in the sneaker world, with collabs from New Balance and Crocs, though outside of sneakers her “WET” T-shirt for Ye’s independent Yeezy brand was surely on your timeline. We’ve heard about her Jordan Brand capsule for some time now, and coming off a brief preview of the Air Jordan 14 Mule three weeks ago, we have detailed images of the new collab model from Paris Fashion Week.
While yes, the Air Jordan 14 Low has existed for quite some time, the model has never been released as a laceless mule until now. Joining in on the growing trend of slip-on hybrids, the Jordan 14 Mule cuts the silhouette even lower than the AJ 14 Low, removing the heel entirely for a backless slip-on. Laces are also removed in favor of a gusseted tongue, though the tongue itself still looks like it was ripped from the original.
Across the upper, Ogunlesi applies a metallic silver finish that looks as if it has a nice aged patina look. Stamped onto the upper is a large “Mowalola” logo in cursive, stretching from the toe back to the heel. Underfoot, the Jordan 14 midsole remains untouched, with the pair getting a black and silver finish.
The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Retro Mule will be released Fall 2026 through Mowalola, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
