At this point, we’re convinced All-Star Weekend is more about the sneaker releases than it is the basketball. It’s not even technically the weekend yet, and we’ve already seen lines backed up longer than LA traffic in every corner of the city, plus a fair share of squabbles break out for spots in those lines. Adding to the City of Angels mayhem, crypto-themed clothing brand Satoshi Nakamoto and Vans are getting together to shock drop their heavily hyped Era 95 collab.

The Satoshi Nakamoto x Vans Era 95 first popped up on our radar in December of last year, and while we were expecting the shoe to drop sometime this month, a few hours' advance notice of an in-person release at the 424inc retail store on Melrose was not what we were expecting.

The Satoshi Era 95 starts with a standard black canvas base, adds some distressed rips across the upper, and covers the ankle collar and bits of the toebox in shiny jewelry. The laces get friendship bracelet-style beads on the bottom to add a little more treasure, and repeating Satoshi branding covers the dirty white midsole.
