Roman Reigns Wears V.A.A. x Air Jordan 1 High

The WrestleMania 42 weekend started off lackluster to say the least. Night one left many with a sour taste in their mouth, but when Roman Reigns and CM Punk duked it out for nearly 34 minutes in the finale, it's safe to say the weekend was saved.

As is tradition, the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania kicks off the next “season” of the WWE PLE cycle, and it is often the start of new storylines and feuds. Roman, who is now the WWE Heavyweight Champion, closed out the show with his cousins, Jey and Jimmy Uso, who backed him up when Jacob Fatu, another cousin related to the trio, challenged him for the belt at Backlash.

Roman didn’t accept the challenge, but he did give his little cousin a week to think over the proposal, so we’ll see if the match gets scheduled next week on Raw, but let’s focus on something that we’re true experts on: Reigns’ kicks.

WrestleMania 42 saw Roman take the ring in custom Jordan Brand boxing boots and receive an early pair of the Bloodline AJ 12 before his main event, but for the Raw after Mania, he stepped it up and put on some crazy Air Jordans. When he stepped out with Jey and Big Jim, Roman was rocking a pair of the Virgil Abloh Archives x Air Jordan 1 High.

The V.A.A. Jordan 1 High is essentially a re-release of the Off-White AJ 1 High that was released in 2018 as a European exclusive, but now Nike/Jordan Brand has partnered with Virgil Abloh’s estate as opposed to the Off-White brand. It’s been a highlight of the year thus far, and it was one of the hardest cops considering there was no Nike SNKRS release here in the US. Good to see that Jordan Brand hooked up Reigns with a size 15 pair.

Now that Reigns is the Heavyweight Champion, he’s promised to fix “all this part-time crap,” as over the last few years, Roman has taken a step back from the business. He was once a fixture of WWE’s weekly programming, but after years of holding down the sports-entertainment world and his health issues, he took a part-time role with the company.

Now that he’s expected to make more frequent appearances in 2026, we should get plenty of high-heat sneaker moments from Reigns. For more updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
