Roman Reigns Returns to WWE Wearing Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf

The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns, has been absent from WWE since he was betrayed by his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, at night 1 of WrestleMania 41 back in April. However, he returned to the ring last night to help fellow Paul Heyman associate CM Punk, who had just defeated Bron Breakker for a chance at the World Heavyweight Title holder, Gunther. Reigns' surprise return also saw the OTC rock Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf in the 49ers colorway.
Deion’s first signature sneaker made its return to shelves in January this year in a near 1:1 retro of the original colorway from 1993. Since then, Nike has dropped the Ravens colorway, a special Signing Day rendition, and in August, they’ll release the original Emerald rendition.

Roman is no stranger to wearing heat in the ring as he often laces up special Nike and Jordan sneakers in appearances. At WrestleMania 40, Jordan Brand created special wrestling boots and apparel for his showdown against Cody Rhodes. Later, Reigns wore a custom pair of Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protros when he defeated Solo Sikoa during WWE’s inaugural episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, and in March, he was one of a handful of athletes who received Nigel Sylvester’s Air Jordan 4 Brick by Brick ahead of the release.
With Roman Reigns back in action and Seth Rollins recently suffering from an injury, expect to see more appearances from the Tribal Chief. This also means we should see more high-heat sneaker moments during WWE events, though Dominik Mysterio may have recently taken the crown from Reigns with his custom Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low.
