Dominik Mysterio Gets a Custom Latino Heat-Inspired Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low from Vick Almighty
Published
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, the son of the WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest luchadors of all time, Rey Mysterio, is known to take the ring in high-heat sneakers. More specifically, Dirty Dom is often seen rocking Travis Scott Jordan 1 Lows alongside his other Judgement Day members. But now, he’ll be able to rock his version of the sneaker thanks to Vick Almighty and Reshoven8r (who also just created a custom Travis Scott Nike KD 18 for Kevin Durant).
Taking the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Olive as the base, Vick infused multiple details personal to Dom, including his Mexican heritage, his WWE faction, and his father figure. No, not his actual dad, Rey, who, according to Dom, is a “deadbeat dad,” but the late Eddie Guerrero. Those unaware, Guerrero wrestled alongside Rey Mysterio in WWE in the 2000s and even feuded with the legend, resulting in a ladder match for “custody” of Dominik when he was a child.

Nods to Latino Heat are found via the flame graphics embroidered onto the black suede tongue, while the insole features a custom design commemorating the iconic luchador La Parka. Also on the insole are the nicknames “Latino Heat” and “Latino Cheat,” the latter referencing Dirty Dom. Final details include a grey reverse Swoosh, white leather panels, red embroidery on the heel, and custom hits of purple on the tongue tag and outsole that nod to his faction Judgement Day.
While Dominik hasn’t worn the pair in the ring just yet, he appeared on Monday Night Raw last night wearing Travis Scott’s Jordan Jumpman Jack in the Bright Cactus colorway. We’ll have to wait and see when he decides to wear the sneakers.
