While Nike has been dealing with spiraling stock prices, changes to its Jordan Retro strategy, and the ever-evolving sneaker market, they’ve found a recipe for success by teaming up with anime franchises. The .SWOOSH program, which is no longer associated with NFTs, and instead focuses on gaming, anime, and online culture, has spearheaded Nike’s foray into this space, collaborating with Yu-Gi-Oh! and, most recently, One Piece. After dropping three Devil Fruit-themed Air Max Plus colorways, Nike is taking the theme over to one of its newest performance basketball models, the GT Cut 4.
One Piece x Nike GT Cut 4 Details
As of this writing, we don’t have any images of the three One Piece x Nike GT Cut 4 colorways, but according to Brandon1an, the pairs all feature similar color palettes to the three Air Max Plus colorways. It’s not hard to imagine Nike will continue to lean on the Devil Fruit theme, as the first collab was well received not only by the sneaker community but also by fans of One Piece. Expect to see a Gomu Gomu, Ope Ope, and Mera Mera GT Cut 4.
Nike’s .SWOOSH social media also teased a continuation of the partnership, with a post on September 27, 2026, captioned “I never say goodbye to nobody! I always plan on seeing them again!” The quote is actually from One Piece character Monkey D. Luffy, who says farewell to Boa Hancock and her crew in episode 517 with this exact sentence.
One Piece x Nike GT Cut 4 Release Info
The One Piece x Nike GT Cut 4 Devil Fruit Pack will be released Spring 2027, though exactly how this will be done is a mystery. Nike may do a staggered, region-locked release, as they did with the OG collab, but only time will tell. Retail is set at $190.
