Vince Carter’s Olympic Shox BB4 Colorway Drops Later This Month

As we get closer to the end of the NBA Finals, with the New York Knicks close to breaking a decades-long championship drought, it's got us thinking back to some of the best players to ever step on an NBA floor who never won a ring. Of course, there’s Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson, but close to the top of the list is one of our all-time favorites, Vince Carter.

Medals Over Rings

Despite his aversion to ring chasing, Carter’s legacy stands the test of time, due at least in some part to his performance on the gold medal-winning 2000 USA Olympic team. During the tournament, Carter would take the court in the white and blue Shox BB4, taking off for one of the most memorable dunks in basketball history in the sneaker.

Returning to the Nike catalog for the first time since its debut retro drop in 2019, the Nike Shox BB4 Olympics is a spitting image of the Y2K pair. Featuring soft white leather on either side of the lace panel, deep blue is added on the side panels with vertical stitching in columns. The heel adds a bright metallic silver, and then returns to more blue on the Shox unit.
