Nike Football Expands Its NIL Roster with a Class of Star High School and College Recruits

Paying youth athletes used to be so taboo that they made arrests and wrote movie scripts over bags of booster bucks and gifted sedans. Now, NIL rules have turned the high school and college sports worlds into a free-for-all with big money funneling into local ad deals and major global commercials. For sneaker brands, the newly legal youth focus has been a way to extend reach past coaches and programs to the players themselves.

The Kids are Thriving Under NIL

At Nike, NIL has been a major focus across sports, with the latest major motion coming on the gridiron. Announced before the fall football season starts on campuses around the country, Nike’s new NIL squad features college stars like Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman. On the high school side, an 11-man signing class features major recruits from all over the country.

Nike brought together its entire new NIL football roster for a photoshoot to celebrate the occasion, and with high school and college seasons starting soon, expect to see plenty of Nike cleats on high school highlight clips ahead of National Signing Day.
