Devin Booker is one of the more intentional athletes on the Nike signature roster. The Michigan native has always been a student of culture, obsessing over his off-court sneaker selection and old-school car collection just like he does his on-court game. When it comes to his Nike sneaker line, Booker has been clear about his influences, with his latest silhouette taking inspiration from the Nike SB Nyjah 2, the Air Force 1, and most notably, the Zoom Spiridon.
In the second of two straight games against Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors over the weekend, Booker broke out a new Nike Book 2 PE with strong Spiridon influence, this time in a Suns-friendly colorway. The Nike Book 2 Suns Spiridon PE features a purple canvas toe with a stripe of orange behind it before covering the rest of the upper in white mesh. The lace loops and ankle collar add more purple, and the side panel Swoosh gets a metallic orange treatment to complete the Spiridon look-alike design.
The rollout of Booker’s second shoe has been focused on his career-long dedication to Phoenix, with a burned pair of Book 1s leading to a Phoenix rising debut of the Book 2, followed by an orange Phoenix colorway, and, of course, the OG Spiridon replica in grey and red.
So far, it looks like the Nike Book 2 Suns Spiridon PE will be a one-and-done made just for Booker, but we’ve seen his PEs hit retail shelves before, so you never know what the future will hold. For all the latest Nike Book 2 news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
