Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air More Uptempo is getting a whole lot of love lately. From the hotly-anticipated “Hoops” to the Air More Uptempo Slide, the basketball silhouette is making a comeback in a big way. As we head towards the latter half of 2022, we’re now getting a closer look at some more colorways that are set to hit the 1996 classic, including the Nike Air More Uptempo "Bulls."
A homage to the Chicago Bulls where Pippen played from 1987 to 1998, winning six NBA championships in the process, this Air More Uptempo drops the usual all-leather construction in favor of a best grey suede upper. Clean summit white panels hit the lacing system, toe, and heel, where you’ll also find an oversized jeweled Nike Swoosh that’s done up in a fiery team red hue. A chunky white midsole sits underfoot for a crazy amount of comfort both on and off the court, and of course, you can’t talk about this Uptempo without mentioning the oversized “AIR” branding that shoots across the lateral and medial side panels. Outlined in bold red, this sneaker is the perfect love letter to the Chi-Town-based basketball team.
