The in-your-face “AIR” branding is back and this upcoming colorway is an ode to the exact purpose and function the “AIR” in this shoe was made for, balling out. A part of the "Hoops" Pack, this Nike Air More Uptempo comes in a photon dust, university red, total orange, black, and coconut milk colorway. Set to drop before the summer ends, get your final pickup games in while the weather is hot!
This Nike Air More Uptempo features a primarily photon dust-based upper in the usual soft-touch faux nubuck that the sneaker is well known for. Minor hits of orange outline the black Swoosh on the toe, the Swoosh branding on the top of the tongue, the jeweled Swoosh on the heel, and the mini Swoosh on the heel of the midsole. Stripes of black run down the upper, streaking down the midsole and across the tongue, by way of elastic lock-down straps. The “AIR” upper panels are composed of cracked black leather, with a small sail tab popping out of the “R” on the lateral side. Just underneath the pull strap on the heel is a basketball and a hand holding the peace sign. The sail midsole encapsulates the Air unit, which features columns of bright orange.
The Nike Air More Uptempo Hoops was originally set to release on August 5th, 2022. After a short delay, they will now release on August 18th. Coming in men's and GS sizing, retail is set at $175 and $150, respectively. Look out for them at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select retailers online and in-store.
