All eyes are on Philadelphia this upcoming NBA season. First, there was the trade that sent an aging Paul George out of town and brought in Jaylen Brown, and then, in a move that still has Philly fans hanging from lampposts, LeBron James decided to take his talents to Broad Street, completing a superteam build that now features the King, Brown, Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey.

Tyrese’s Turn

While we prepare for LeBron’s 24th signature shoe, Brown keeps bringing out pairs of his self-run 741 brand, and Embiid keeps it classy in Skechers, Maxey is finally ready to join his teammates with his own signature sneaker. The New Balance Maxery v1 has been on our radar since we got word of the upcoming model in January, with first-look previews popping up a few months back in April. Now, with the NBA season arriving soon, NB is finally ready to release the shoe to the public.

“I wanted my shoe to have an iconic look that you don’t need to see the ‘N’ to know it's a New Balance shoe,” Maxey said. “To me, the 9060 is a classic NB silhouette, so I pulled a lot of inspiration from that to bring lifestyle to the basketball court. I worked really closely with the New Balance product team to make sure the shoe looks good and feels good on and off the court. I’m really excited for people to test it out!”
