Marquette University Inspires This New Balance 550 Colorway

Even though the New Balance 550 made its official comeback in 2020, it wasn't until two years later when the retro basketball sneaker began to shoot up in popularity. Thanks to collaborations with Aime Leon Dore, AURALEE, and Rich Paul, the silhouette has now become on of the most hyped pairs that money can buy, and another clean colorway is about to be introduced very soon with the New Balance 550 Marquette.

Getting its name from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this 550 is painted in the establishment's official team colors. Crafted predominantly from a cream white leather up front, the ankle and heel arrive in blue and gold hues. Sky Blue tones adorn the "N" logo on the sides and the outsole underfoot, and a dash of burgundy wraps around the back for another pop of color. All this is finished with an orange basketball graphic that's proudly presented on the tongue, rounding off the design.

The New Balance 550 Marquette releases on October 6th, 2022 in men's sizes for $110.
