LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT: NFL Week 11’s Best Tunnel Fits
Published
This NFL season has been one to remember. It feels like there’s been an uptick in final-second wins. Just this week alone, two games were determined by field goals as the clock expired, that being the Chicago Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs. However, before we got our full slate of games, we had to watch a disappointing matchup between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders in Madrid, Spain.
Let's put aside that horrible outing from the Commanders, especially Marcus Mariota’s interception on the very first play of overtime, and delve into our specialty here at Sole Retriever: sneakers. It’s once again time for LOOK GREAT, PLAY GREAT: NFL Edition.
Adam Thielen

Minnesota Vikings wideout Adam Thielen is, unfortunately, not playing at the level he once did. That’s bound to happen as time goes on, and it’s especially true if you’re 35-years-old in the NFL. Still, Thielen has one of the best sneaker collections in the league, choosing to rock the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low Concord Bred before facing off against the Chicago Bears.
Casey Washington

In the year 2025, who is still rocking Yeezy 350s? Well, you’d be surprised, there are literally dozens of us. Let me clarify: this author no longer wears his 350s, but it’s not an uncommon sight to see when out and about in the real world. Casey Washington subscribes to the belief that 350s are timeless as the Falcons' wide receiver was spotted in the iconic Zebra Yeezy 350 V2 ahead of the overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers.
George Kittle

Another major sneakerhead in the NFL to make the list this week, George Kittle rocked a classic Nike SB ahead of the 49ers' big W over the Arizona Cardinals. The pair he wore? The Reese Forbes Nike SB Dunk Low. Fitting as Forbes recently made news in the sneaker scene by revealing the A Ma Maniere Air Jordan 4 and 6.
Jalen Hurts

Jordan Brand’s torchbearer in the NFL, Jalen Hurts is always lacing up the latest from the Jumpman. Instead of an upcoming retro or limited collab pair, Jalen decided it was time to get with the changing season and rock the Jordan City Boot, a winter-ready Timberland-esque silhouette that Jordan Brand introduced this season.
Jalen Ramsey

There’s a second Jalen in this week’s list who rocked a Jordan sneaker, that being Jalen Ramsey. The Pittsburgh Steelers' cornerback was part of an altercation with the Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase, which resulted in Chase spitting at Ramsey. The league subsequently suspended Ja’Marr for one game. Before this went down, Ramsey laced up the Jordan 17 Low Lightning, a pair that matches perfectly with the Steelers’ color palette.
Jalyn Armour-Davis

Ok, we’re at back-to-back-to-back Jalen’s, albeit Armour-Davis spells his first name Jalyn. The last two opted for Jordan Brand products, but Armour-Davis may think that Yeezy jumped over the Jumpman with his footwear choice. Not only did he have custom adidas Yeezy Boost 750-inspired cleats, but he walked into the stadium rocking the original Yeezy 750 colorway, an ultimate grail of a sneaker.
Josh Allen

Josh Allen had a career game on Sunday. The Bills' QB threw three touchdowns and matched them with three rushing TDs, too. If you’re lucky enough to have him on your fantasy team, he got you nearly 50 points from this outing. Before the monster performance, Allen laced up the New Balance 990v6 Made in USA in the Dark Camo Incense colorway, the same pair he wore during week 1 of the season.
Khalil Mack

We will always put respect on OG Air Jordan colorways, and so does Khalil Mack. The Chargers' linebacker entered Sunday’s game against the Jaguars with the Air Jordan 3 Retro White Cement Reimagined.
Kyle Juszczyk

Fans of Virgil Abloh will be pleased to hear that the late designer’s Nike and Jordan collab is being revisited for the first time in years. However, this is no longer Off-White x Nike, it’s through the Virgil Abloh Archives. The design language will be the same, but don’t expect to see any mention of OW on the model. Kyle Juszczyk, fullback for the 49ers, wore the Off-White Air Jordan 4, which hopefully returns one day for us mere mortals who haven’t been able to cop a pair on the aftermarket.
Mekhi Becton

Even if the weather outside is starting to turn cold, ice cream will still be in the dessert rotation. Mekhi Becton probably agrees as the Chargers guard pulled up to the matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles wearing the Ben & Jerry’s x Nike SB Dunk Low Chunky Dunky.
O’Cyrus Torrence

Cross-sport players are non-existent in the modern landscape of professional sports. However, sneakers continue to make the jump from sport to sport, with basketball players rocking lifestyle sneakers, football players recreating hoop shoes, and baseball players adding spikes to high-heat kicks. O’Cyrus Torrence busted out a pair that technically is dipping its toes in two sports, with the friends-and-family colorway of the Bodega x Nike Dunk High which was made to mimic a baseball glove.
