We’ve been waiting patiently for the Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 Collection since we first saw the indigo colorway pop up courtside on Spike Lee and getting torn up by skater Josh Velez’s griptape in the middle of the Supreme store in New York. Then Yachty showed off a tan Year of the Horse pair, and the hype grew more. Not to be outdone, Spike came back with a black denim collab colorway on foot while accepting honors from the Critics’ Choice Association. Now, after months of breadcrumbs, Jordan and Levi’s give us an official look at the collection, including a fourth, LA-exclusive colorway for the NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.
The Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 Collection was officially announced with an editorial campaign starring Lee, Velez, artist Rio Amor, and bucket drummer Jay Wright, whose father, Larry Wright, featured in the original Levi’s 501 “Button Your Fly” ad campaign. Jordan brought the four creatives together in LA to show off the shoes and a capsule collection of co-branded hoodies, a varsity jacket, a football jersey, and more. The LA-exclusive colorway features white pebbled leather on the upper, blue denim accents, and “City of Angeles” embroidered in chain stitching.
