Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, and Roman Reigns get Crossover Autograph Cards in 2026 Bowman Football

Topps has announced a number of autograph subjects that will give 2026 Bowman Football plenty of crossover appeal ahead of its September 30 release. Announced on social media as a highlight for the product’s release, a number of stars across the wide world of sports will be making their debuts on football cardboard.

What Stars From Other Sports are in 2026 Bowman Football?

2026 Bowman Football will feature a handful of athletes that fans of other sports and sports entertainment pursuits might be interested in, as Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, Paul Skenes, and Roman Reigns will be making their Topps football trading card debuts. Durant, Edwards, and Skenes will be teaming up for dual autograph cards with fellow alumni Vince Young, Matthew Stafford, and Joe Burrow, while Reigns goes back in time with his first-ever official football card in Retrofractor when he was known by his real name, Joe Anoa’i, a defensive tackle for Georgia Tech. Anoa’i played four seasons for Georgia Tech and earned All-ACC honors. He went undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft but did have a handful of tryouts with teams before joining the CFL and eventually going on to fulfill his destiny as the Tribal Chief in the WWE.

Durant, Edwards, and Skenes are going back to their college days to join college football legends who share the same alma mater. Kevin Durant and Vince Young will reunite for a dual autograph card in their University of Texas uniforms. This will be the second Durant and Young dual autograph card, as they had a similarly themed card nearly 20 years ago for 2007-08 Upper Deck Black NBA, but they were in Seattle Supersonics and Tennessee Titans kits, respectively.

Longtime football fan Anthony Edwards, who once said he would try to play in the NFL if he won an NBA championship before he turned 30 (he’s currently 25 years old), gets to take one tiny minuscule step towards that dream with a feature on a football card product alongside fellow Georgia Bulldog Matthew Stafford. Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star ace pitcher Paul Skenes rounds out the trio of dual autograph cards as he joins Joe Burrow on a LSU Tigers dream piece of memorabilia.

Is 2026 Bowman Football an NFL or College Football Trading Card Product?

It’s both as Topps, which owns the Bowman brand, will feature NFL and college players in the same product for the first time. Along with Roman Reigns Retrofractor, Bowman will also honor the late Walter Payton from Jackson State University with an unsigned Retrofractor card. The Retrofractor concept began in baseball as a way to feature legends of the past by giving them their “first” Bowman cards.

The base cards for 2026 Bowman will include a 200-card set of NFL stars and rookies and another 201-card prospect set that features college players. Major hits from other sports like Crystallized, Spotlights, Anime, and the Garbage Pail Kids tribute will include cards of #1 overall draft pick Fernando Mendoza, Titans wide receiver and fellow adidas athlete Carnell Tate, and Arizona running back and New Balance athlete Jeremiyah Love. Topps is highlighting touted Notre Dame quarterback prospect CJ Carr’s first Bowman card by showing off the Superfractor version with his autograph and a “Go Irish” inscription.
