Sabrina Ionescu is having a hell of an offseason. As the stress of the WNBA’s upcoming union agreement looms and her free agency sits in a (somewhat predictable) balance, Ionescu has been receiving heavy respect from every corner of the sporting world. After Steph Curry laced up a pair of Nike Sabrina 3s while Ionescu sat courtside, Sab’s latest signature shoe made its way to the gridiron over the weekend, with Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert wearing a pair of Sabrina 3-inspired cleats during a dominant win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
Herbert, who is playing despite a broken left hand, laced up a pair of custom cleats designed to look like the new Nike Sabrina 3 Me vs. Me colorway, with a white upper, iridescent accents, and red logo details. Herbert's pair perfectly replicated the Sabrina 3 colorway, down to Ionescu’s “S” logos on the tongue tabs.
Ionescu and Herbert both played college ball at the University of Oregon, so it makes perfect sense that the Chargers QB would shout out his fellow Duck, especially considering the prominence that Nike plays on the Eugene campus. As Ionescu gets ready to drop her upcoming Nike Sabrina 4 in 2026, hopefully, we’ll see even more multi-sport takes on her signature silhouettes soon.
You can’t cop these Justin Herbert Nike Sabrina 3 Me v. Me Cleat customs, but the basketball version of the Sabrina colorway dropped over the weekend, so you can definitely play the part on the court. To stay up on all the latest Sabrina Ionescu Nike news, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
