Knicks guard Jose Alvarado has been outside ever since NYC’s team took home the championship trophy in June. The Brooklyn local is the embodiment of New York’s hard-nosed hoop style, with a sneaker deal to match. Alvarado is helping to revive the streetball brand AND1 with PE pairs of the low-profile Mad Game Pro in blue and orange.
Grand Theft Alvarado Hits the Streets
Just like his teammate OG Anunoby, Alvarado is taking a little time away from the Knicks’ preseason schedule to drop his PE sneaker for the city. This week, Alvarado is keeping his offseason party lit at two Foot Locker locations in Manhattan as part of the team’s new partnership with the retailer, and he’s bringing his AND1 pairs and the Larry O’Brien championship trophy with him.
In addition to a meet-and-greet with Grand Theft Alvarado, the NYC Foot Locker locations will be dropping two colorways of the AND1 Mad Game Pro Jose Alvarado PE in home and away Knicks colorways. One pair features a blue base with orange accents and black patent leather, while the other comes with an MSG-ready home pair that trades the black panels for white but keeps the same blue upper and orange accents.
