Jolly Ol’ Jordan: The London Lions are the First British Pro Basketball Team with a Jordan Deal

Oy, bloke, pass the rock. When it comes to sports, England is best known for its nationwide obsession with soccer, bending it like Beckham, fighting in hooligan fashion, and dressing in closets packed with Stone Island and Fred Perry. Times are changing, though, and London’s sports scene is expanding off the court and onto the hardwood.

Jordan Heads Across the Pond

The Jordan Brand London Lions partnership is the first deal between the Jumpman and a British Professional Basketball League team, bringing the iconic basketball branding to Lions jerseys and team-issued sneakers. Extending past the men’s and women’s pro teams, the Jordan collab deal extends into gear for the club’s youth program as well.

"This is an exciting moment for our club. Jordan Brand is one of the most recognisable names in basketball, and becoming the first British professional club to wear Jordan Brand uniforms is a milestone for the London Lions,” Lenz Balan, President of London Lions, said. “As we continue building on the progress made across our men's, women's and academy programmes, we're looking forward to taking the court in a brand that has such a strong connection to the game."
