Palace is a global skate brand now, with retail locations dotted across Asia, the US, and Europe, but at its heart, the skate company is at home in London, where the Palace Wayward Boys Choir skate crew was founded and kicked off the worldwide sensation. With the World Cup coming up, Palace is flexing its recent Nike partnership to once again link with local soccer legend Wayne Rooney, this time with the help of the English National Football Team.
Palace x Nike Hit the Pitch
Debuted in a quick preview on Instagram, the Palace x Nike England National Team collab follows an England x Nike Air Force 1 colorway as part of The Swoosh’s early in-line World Cup-themed team pack. With Palace joining the Nike collaborator network late last year, it's only right that the brand is brought in on The Swoosh’s celebration of English soccer.
Palace tapped Wayne Rooney for its debut Nike Total 90 pack, and after building an indoor soccer pitch at the co-branded Palace x Nike Manor Place skate park, the soccer theme continues with the World Cup pack. In the quick preview spot, we can see Rooney sitting anxiously in what looks like a doctor's office, wearing a new pair of collab Cryoshots in black patent leather with white and red details, along with a full Palace x Nike England National Team outfit, including track pants and a co-branded varsity jacket, plus an old-timey ruffled collar for some real British vibes.
The Palace x Nike x England National Soccer Team collection doesn’t have a release date or retail prices yet, but with the World Cup coming up quickly, expect more info soon. To keep up with all the latest from Palace and Nike, download the Sole Retriever App.
