The New Balance 990 is the brand’s cornerstone silhouette. From its debut in 1982 with the first version, the shoe has undergone 5 more retail revisions over the decade, and now, v7 is ready to land for fashion fans and lawn-mowing dads alike. After seeing the pair on foot in some paparazzi photos of Rosalía, the shoe continues its slow but deliberate rollout with a little help from a Chicago legend.

Joe Gets Fresh

Joe Freshgoods got in on the early 990v7 hype over the long weekend, posting images of the pair to social media alongside a Chanel bag, Goyard wallet, a wine glass, and more in a particularly aesthetic story post, followed by an on-foot image of the new silhouette with the caption “v7s cute.”
