Jason “White Chocolate” Williams Re-Signs with Nike Ahead of Hyperflight Retro Launch

Retirement from pro sports used to be a direct path to three options: coaching, broadcasting, or stepping back from the public into a quiet life. Now, thanks to the proliferation of podcasting, more former players than ever are back at the top of our minds and in our headphones, and they’re bringing in major brand deals along for the ride, and not just with direct-to-consumer mattress companies.

Jason “White Chocolate” Williams is the latest NBA star to take his talents to the podcast mic and see a new sneaker deal from it. After announcing the return of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight for 2026, Nike took the retro launch one step further, re-signing Williams as the face of the silhouette to help drop the shoe, including a return of his purple Sacramento Kings-themed PE colorway.

“It’s recent,” Williams said on a new episode of his Hooping n Hollering podcast. “My first couple years I was with Nike, then I went with And 1, and then when I retired I was with no one. But I was loyal to Nike. I won’t even give my kids my credit card to buy Under Armour… Then one thing led to another and, yeah, I’m back with the fam.”

The return of the Nike Zoom Hyperflight will debut this weekend at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles along with a SNKRS event hosted by Williams to launch the shoe. The Nike Zoom Hyperflight is dropping in a handful of patent leather colors in 2026 with a retail price set at $170.
