The Nike Zoom Hyperflight Returns Spring 2026 for its 25th Anniversary
Published
It was all about the future in the early 2000s at Nike Basketball. Various silhouettes were released, both signature and non, all featuring looks ahead of its time. Included in this collection was the Eric Avar-designed Nike Zoom Hyperflight. The Hyperflight quickly became a fan-favorite silhouette and was a part of the Nike Alpha Project.
Seen on the feet of various players throughout the NBA, the man who sticks out the most when thinking of the Nike Hyperflight is "White Chocolate," Jason Williams. Williams would rock this pair on-court throughout his time with the Sacramento Kings, where he rose in fame thanks to his high basketball IQ, which included fancy dribbling and unique passes.

While the Nike Zoom Hyperflight has been praised throughout the years, it wasn't until 2013 that the modern-day classic would return as a lifestyle sneaker under Nike's Sportswear umbrella. For its 25th Anniversary, Nike is bringing back the Hyperflight, starting with two OG colorways in Spring 2026.
Kicking things off for the shoe's 25th birthday will be Black and Varsity Purple pairs. The Black pair comes dressed in all-black, featuring a white Swoosh on the toe. The Varsity Purple pair will sport a purple-based upper with black accents and the same white Swoosh on the toe.
The Nike Zoom Hyperflight in Black and Varsity Purple will release in Spring 2026 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $145.
