Jalen Brunson Sees the Sun Rising Over the Eastern Conference on New Kobe 6 PE

Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks are legit. Sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference, New York’s team is fighting for another playoff run and a chance to turn Madison Square Garden into a Finals destination. There’s still a lot of season left, but with the way Brunson, who leads the team in points and assists, is playing in the early going, he definitely deserves a little shine. Nike agrees, and Brunson’s latest Kobe 6 Protro PE is as bright as the Knicks’ future.

Brunson took to Instagram on Thursday to post the new Jalen Brunson x Nike Kobe 6 Protro Sunrise PE after he laced up the pair in the Knicks’ win against Dallas last month. The exclusive Kobe 6 Protro colorway starts with a light blue tint on the toe that evolves into a sunset sherbet blend of yellow and peachy orange that evolves to pale pink at the heel. The midsole adds its own sunrise gradient, and there's an icy blue sole underneath.

If you ask Knicks fans, Brunson is right up there with Cade Cunningham on the list of Nike hoopers in line for a signature model, especially with his marketability in NYC and the “New York Kiths” image of the team. For now, though, Brunson has been enjoying adding his own energy to pairs of Kobe Protros, and Nike is showing love right back, releasing his Statue of Liberty Kobe 6 Protro PE on December 11.

So far, the Jalen Brunson x Nike Kobe 6 Protro Sunrise PE is exclusive to Brunson, but with the late decision to turn Jalen’s Statue of Liberty PE into a public release, there’s no telling what might happen in the coming months.
