J. Balvin and Jordan Brand are tied in like the mafia. Only a few artists have been lucky enough to drop collab colorways on low-numbered retros, and Balvin is at the top end of the short list. With a few collab pairs under his belt, Balvin’s best Jumpman collab is still his first, the multi-color, triangle-cut Air Jordan 1 OG High. Now, with his latest collab album, “Omerta,” streaming everywhere, Balvin and Jordan are back with a new pair of 1s for the musician’s friends and family.
The J. Balvin x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Omerta F&F first arrived on our radar at the “Omerta” listening party last week, and now, a new Instagram post from Balvin is here to give us more details on the triple-black collab. Taking Balvin’s first Jordan collab and turning it black, the pair keeps the jagged triangular paneling and canvas construction.

Covered in black canvas from toe to heel, the pair adds leather paneling around the swoosh and on the ankle collar, with triangle cut edges around the toebox, Swoosh, and ankle. Switching things up from the patches on the rainbow retail pair, Balvin’s smiley face logo is added to the tongue tag, and an Omerta logo is featured on the lateral ankle.
The J. Balvin Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Omerta F&F is limited to 100 pairs and won’t be released to the public, so if Balvin isn’t in your contacts, don’t get your hopes up. To keep up with all the latest Jordan collab news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever App.
