J. Balvin and Ryan Castro dropped their new album, OMERTA, this week, and at the record release party on Thursday, the Colombian duo celebrated with a suited-up club night complete with a massive multi-tier cake and a display case showing off a triple-black J. Balvin x Air Jordan 1 High with the same spikey cut-outs and heelside patches as his rainbow-colored OG collab.
The J. Balvin Air Jordan 1 High Black was put on a pedestal in the middle of the party, staged to show off all the details on the canvas and leather pair. Just like the 2020 J. Balvin Air Jordan 1 High release in rainbow, the triple-black pair features triangle-cut border accents on the toebox, heel, and Swoosh, with leather surrounding the Nike logo and the ankle collar, and canvas covering the rest of the upper.
Balvin’s lightning-eyes smiley face logo is added to a yellow circular patch on the lateral heel of the right shoe, while a Jumpman is added to the same patch on the left shoe. On the pair displayed at the album release, the badge on the right shoe was replaced by an OMERTA album logo in yellow and red.
As of now, there are no details on a potential release for the J. Balvin Air Jordan 1 High Black, but if he is going to drop it, timing it with the album release would make sense, so look out for more info.
