INVINCIBLE Teases Its HTTP 404-Inspired Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1
Published
After being introduced late last year with a Stefon Diggs collaboration, the Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1 has become a focal point for outside partners to showcase their design prowess. In the last month, Vandy The Pink launched his viral strawberry and banana split-inspired collection, and Little Tokyo Table Tennis worked on the sneaker. Next up for the Gel-Nimbus 10.1 is a collaboration with Taiwan-based sneaker store INVINCIBLE.
Though INVINCIBLE's teaser post doesn't give us a full look at the sneaker, it does provide us with the design inspiration based on the caption. Dubbed HTTP 404, the pair plays into the unfortunate error you may encounter when browsing the web. The silhouette also features a deconstructed upper with updated materials and new construction.

Early on-foot images from Du Anson, director of merchandise for Asics SportStyle China, and an in-hand photo from Sky Chen of COSTS reveal the pair (and a possible second colorway).
Du's pair features the typical white, metallic silver, and black palette associated with Asics. At the same time, hits of blue are present on the nylon lace loops, lace aglets, Asics logo atop the tongue, and on the heel. A diamond-pattern mesh is applied to the base layer, while the Asics tiger stripe logo comes in a deconstructed finish, revealing the end of the logo that is typically placed on the edge of the sole and upper.

Sky Chen’s Instagram story reveals what may be a second colorway or a friends-and-family version of the sneaker. The same deconstructed details, added INVINCIBLE branding, and Asics logo applied to the toebox remain, while the blue is swapped for hits of green. Both pairs feature a tonal white and black midsole with Gel cushioning, while the outsole contains the accenting hue for each respective colorway.
The INVINCIBLE x Asics Gel-Nimbus 10.1 HTTP 404 will release sometime in the coming weeks through INVINCIBLE online and in-store. As of this writing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
