Over the past few weeks, ASICS has quickly become one of the sneaker world's most fashionable brands. With collaborations with Andersson Bell, Cecilie Bahnsen, and Ronnie Fieg all on the way, the Japanese sportswear company is now adding the Danish Queen of Cool to its stylish line-up with the Freja Wewer x ASICS GEL-1090v2 "Clay Grey." The first sneaker to debut as part of the AEG Female Talent Project, here's everything that you need to know.
A model, stylist, and creative director, Wewer is one of Copenhagen's most well-known fashion influencers. Taking on the GEL-1090v2, she has fitted it with a clay grey mesh base complete with pure silver leather overlays throughout for a futuristic look and feel. Contrast black Tiger Stripes adorn the lateral and medial side panels, and this sits on top of a chunky GEL midsole that's perfect for both the city streets and the mountain peaks. Denmark's "it" girl then rounds off the collaboration with a dash of lipstick red that takes over the underside of the sneaker, finalizing the design.
Releasing on November 19th, 2022, the Freja Wewer x ASICS GEL-1090v2 Clay Grey will be available in men's sizes for $130 and will be available via ASICS and select retailers online and in physical locations.
