One of the most prolific collaborators in the fashion world, Kith, has recently been seen working with BMW on an ultra-limited edition version of the BMW i4, though the NYC-based retailer and label is still dabbling in the fashion world. Often taking to Instagram to share upcoming releases, Kith’s founder, Ronnie Fieg, has just teased two colorways of an upcoming Kith x Asics collaboration that features two colorways on the EX-89.
Seen in a clean cream/white makeup and an almost all-orange colorway, Kith elevates the Asics EX-89 through a premium suede construction alongside co-branded details. Along the toebox, perforated suede comes in the primary color for each respective colorway while the mudguard, eyestays, quarter panel, and heel join in on the suede makeover. Cream laces grace both colorways as does a cream tongue with “Kith” branding in cursive coming embroidered on the tongue tag. The iconic Asics logo runs across the midfoot portion and gets dressed in a cream-shaded perforated suede. While the orange pair keeps this shade throughout the upper, the cream colorway comes with red and blue accents on the heel and sockliner respectively. Underfoot, a cream rubber midsole with Asics branding gets paired with a tonal rubber outsole.
Both colorways of the Kith x Asics EX-89 in the Orange and Off-White Suede colorways will exclusively through Kith’s in-store locations and through an online raffle on November 7th while the White pair will come as a surprise drop in the near future.
